Have you got a useful tip to share; a great way of getting things lined up when building your Armourfast kits or some tips on painting & weathering? If so, don't keep them to yourself, but share them here so that everyone can benefit

Thanks for that adt70hk, I tried plastic bristles but did not like the finish, but yours look ok, as do the handles etc, have to treat the wife to a new brush but will pay more attention to the quality of the bristles this time!

No problem and thanks for the feedback on my efforts. Also, please let me know how getting your wife a brush for your anniversary goes down!!

try Wildfire Thermally Bonded Bead Weaving Thread .006in ( 0.15mm) black. very good for flexible whip antenna. nearly indestructible bonded fibers that don't unravel. too flexible; just give it a coat of paint.
it's on ebay if you can't find it locally.

What length (approximately) would be appropriate for Armourfast tanks ie 1/72?
Cheers

Hi Cap,
2 inches (or 5cm in "modern")
Source for this is
http://www.pyetelecomhistory.org/prodhi ... c-ws19.pdf
Main wireless type in tanks was (I believe) the WS19 set... the above article says:
A separate aerial tuning unit was used to
match the transmitter output to the 12-foot aerial rod mounted on the turret or roof of the vehicle.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Colin
