Accuracy vs Variety

We're all interested to know "what's next" so this is where Tracy, Nicholas & the team will be able to share with us what's on the bench & the progress it's making into full production. But please be patient as things don't always go smoothly!

Accuracy vs variety?

I want absolute accuracy in all of my kits - Dragon quality at Armourfast prices

I'm prepared to accept some slight inaccuracies (e.g. wheel spacing or "steel" instead of "rubber") if it allowed a new variant to quickly appear

Just get the kits built! It doesn't matter how accurate they are - from 3 feet away in a wargame you can't tell, anyway

Accuracy vs Variety

Post by Armourfast-Colin » Wed Aug 08, 2018 1:34 pm

A quick poll for you...

There are some variants that could be pulled together by the team (for example where a modified Panzer IV chassis is used as a base vehicle for something else), however, sometimes, the "real" version had, in addition to internal changes (e.g. moving where the engine or radio was) had some slight changes to the wheel/track system (e.g. sometimes bits from Panzer 3 & 4s were mixed together.

I have my own views on this, especially given that many of my wheels/tracks are smothered in mud!, but I wondered what the wider view was, so I've just set out this very crude poll to ask the question...

For me as a wargamer it is a very simple choice . a panzer III H Should look like one , but I dont vind it a problem if for instance storrage or spareweels are missing

Sorry, but I missed your recent poll. However, I agree with the only 2 votes cast, in that some inaccuracies would be okay.

Hi all

Sorry I missed this too. I also agree with option 2. These are only wargaming kits and for £8 or so for two kits it is unrealistic to expect perfection.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for this... Yes, I guess I should have let the poll last longer :-)
To be honest, your responses are what I expected given that we already accept some compromises on accuracy in that, for example, the inner wheels on Panzer III & IVs are missing... but it doesn't stop us buying (& playing with) the kits & if you really want to, you can model the "extras"

Thanks for taking the time to respond

Cheers
