Cromwell tank with crew and back stowage from Steel 72. The rest of the stowage is from S&S and green putty. Hope you like it!

STOP THIS NOW!!!
You are making my kits look very poor!!

This makes an important point, 'though, at a number of wargaming shows people used to make comments that "Armourfast are ok for kids..." in a patronising way... this shows what they can look like with a bit of effort!

And, of course, in making the "kids" comment, they miss the point that if not for kids coming into the hobby, it will soon die

Couldn't agree with you more on both counts!! Absolutely stunning work!!

And as you say about kids, of they don't join the hobby it dies and quickbuild kits have been instrumental in getting my son interested..

The models look stunning. I was in Villers Bocage in October and I wouldn't have been surprised if they had rumbled down the High Street to take on Wittman's Tigers !!

Stephen,

Shouldn't your post have read... "...to be targets for..." :D

I recall my first visit to Normandy, went into the Tourist Info place in VB & it took them ages before they could find any info on Wittman; at least now they have a small booklet

Colin

I take your point about the Cromwells being the targets. However, in David Porter's book on the I SS Pz Corps at VB he mentions a Cromwell knocking out a Tiger, but from the rear and very close!

I went on a guided battlefield tour with Leger appropriately called Panzers in Normandy and we also saw where Wittman was killed and later buried. We had a day trip to Samur, the French Bovington. Well worth a visit, especially for the armourfast team if they're
wondering what to release next!
